St. Crispins Irregulars – photos of their May 10 Hobby Day

The fight nears the Chancellor House. I wonder if the miniature Hooker command stand will lose its nerve after a near miss from a shell?

Here is a series of photographs taken of a Civil War miniature wargame taken on May 10 at the St. Crispins Irregulars’ monthly Hobby Day in sunny Anaheim, California. The gamemaster and photo submitter is R. J. Galati. The table is a 28mm refight of the Battle of Chancellorsville. R. J. becomes the first entry in the contest for the autographed scenario book from Marek/Janci Design once Brothers Divided: Gettysburg in Miniature, Volume 1 becomes available.

Who says all wargamers are middle-aged males??? This little girl probably rolls the dice better than I do!

OK – these folks look like the typical crowd we see here in Pennsylvania in the three annual HMGS-East conventions (and I fit that stereotype perfectly). Stonewall’s flanking attack sure put a scare into the Union XI Corps…

The miniatures are mostly Redoubt 28mm ACW.

I appreciate our California colleagues sending the Johnny Reb Gaming Society these photos to kick off the photo contest. The goal is to get a little national publicity for your gaming group and your efforts, so. please, keep sending them in. I have a nice little backlog of groups’ and individuals’ pictures to present, so keep ’em coming!!

Three cheers for R. J. and his friends! Huzzah! Huzzah! Huzzah!
